I absolutely love all weddings but when I had the opportunity to do a Lakeside, Ohio wedding, I jumped at the chance. I’m seriously a wedding nerd. I love every bit of weddings, the little bits of nervousness right before the ceremony. The hush of the guests when the bride is finally in view makes me tear up every time. I love the slide of the rings onto their fingers, the kiss, the giddy looks on their faces after being pronounced. The way they’re dying to kiss during all their portraits. The way the parents beam with pride, the sentimental tears and the the looks on people’s faces as they fight back the tears. I love wedding cake, sparkly rings, dancing and the laughter of a packed dance floor. I love it all.
And this wedding had it all… and it had it near historic Lakeside, Ohio.
Erica and Jackson
Lakeside holds a special place in Erica’s heart. She grew up visiting there every summer with her family. It was the perfect place for her to start her new life with Jackson by connecting it to her childhood and family. After this wedding, I can see why it’s so dear to her.
Lakeside has all these fabulous little spots that are perfect for photos. Inside and out, this little village is one photo op after another. Their ceremony was held in the outdoor chapel. We did portraits by the lake and the reception was nearby at The Winerie. I’m telling you. My little photographer heart was happy ALL day long with all the wonderful little spots we visited. And that final outdoor photo??? That made this heart of mine skip a beat or two. You can see the stars!!
